Érsekhalma, Earthen Fortification of Érsekhalma

The Earthen Fortification of Érsekhalma is a strictly protected archeological site. The purpose of protection is to ensure the survival of the Bronze Age earthen fortification and the associated settlement, archaeological artefacts that are still buried underneath, and to enable archaeological studies in the area. The earthen fortification is also part of the Seven Valleys of Érsekhalma Nature Reserve and can also be considered an ex lege protected area of national importance.

How to approach: Follow the road opposite the turn of Route 54 leading to Érsekhalma

The earthen fortification is featured by steep banks, which can be dangerous. Please do not leave the mulch-covered path. All visitors attend the site at their own risk. The site is freely accessible.
